My teaching places an emphasis on nurturing creative and healing practice habits, with the goal of increased confidence in and love for musical performance and collaboration.
My students have won All-State and Regional positions, attended international festivals, received acceptances to top collegiate music programs, and held principal chairs in their school and regional ensembles. The studio consists of students with ages ranging from 7 to 70+ and residences around the country. Most importantly, my current and previous students continue to foster connections with their musical communities, whether it be through collegiate groups, regional orchestras, chamber ensembles, or local jam sessions.
Students in my private studio have access to regular private lessons, written musical support between lessons, and recital opportunities.
I have particular interest and experience in working with adult flute students and high school students preparing for college auditions. Please do reach out even if you do not fall in this category; I teach all age and skill levels, and have resources and support in lessons available for everyone.
